MRPeasy vs Zoho for Small Manufacturers: Zoho ERP, Inventory or Creator?
MRPeasy is one of the first names a small manufacturer finds when a spreadsheet stops coping. Zoho is often already in the building, running CRM or accounts. The useful question is not which brand is better, but which of Zoho's routes, if any, does the same job as MRPeasy for your country and your process.
Quick answer
Choose MRPeasy if you want ready-made MRP with BOMs, production planning, purchasing and stock in one per-user subscription, and keep your accounts in QuickBooks Online or Xero. Choose Zoho ERP if you are an Indian manufacturer that wants production, GST and accounting in one system; outside India, Zoho's routes are Zoho Inventory for simple assemblies or a Zoho Creator app built around your process.
MRPeasy is a cloud MRP and manufacturing ERP that describes itself, in its Zapier listing, as built for small manufacturers of roughly 10 to 200 employees. Zoho does not sell one product that maps neatly onto it. Instead it offers three routes, and which one applies depends on whether you are in India, how much of a production process you have, and how standard that process is.
Every plan and feature below was checked on MRPeasy’s and Zoho’s own pages on 30 October 2026. We do not quote prices; see the official MRPeasy pricing and Zoho ERP pricing pages. We build on Zoho, so read this with that in mind; we say plainly where MRPeasy is the better fit.
The short answer
- Choose MRPeasy if you want ready-made MRP (BOMs, production planning, purchasing, stock and a basic CRM) in one per-user subscription, you are outside India, and you are happy to keep your books in QuickBooks Online or Xero.
- Choose Zoho ERP if you are an Indian manufacturer that wants production, GST, e-way bills and accounting in one system. Zoho publishes Zoho ERP for India only.
- Choose Zoho Inventory if you assemble kits or simple products and do not need manufacturing orders, routings or capacity planning.
- Build a Zoho Creator app if your process is one that standard software models badly and you already run Zoho CRM or Books.
What each option actually is
MRPeasy is a single product sold in four plans: Starter, Professional, Enterprise and Unlimited. Every plan includes production planning and reporting, BOM management, drag-and-drop rescheduling, lot traceability, purchasing, a warehouse module, workforce planning, a CRM and standard accounting. Higher plans add subcontracting, quality control and serial numbers (Professional), then barcodes, a master production schedule, maintenance, multiple stocks and multiple production sites (Enterprise). API access and webhooks are listed on Unlimited.
Zoho covers manufacturing in three different ways:
- Zoho ERP has bills of materials, manufacturing orders that release job cards, a shopfloor view with a live time clock, work centers, cost templates and a quality module with templates, rules, inspections and an inspection worklist. It is published on Zoho’s Indian site, with GST filing, e-way bills and delivery challans.
- Zoho Inventory does not support manufacturing modules; Zoho’s own knowledge base says so. Its composite items act as assemblies or kits, which is enough for products put together from parts without a production process.
- Zoho Creator is Zoho’s low-code platform. A Creator app can model production your own way and share records with Zoho CRM, Books and Inventory.

Production planning and the shop floor
This is MRPeasy’s home ground. Planning and scheduling are in every plan, and you reschedule by dragging operations on a calendar. Professional adds overlapping and parallel operations, co-product and disassembly BOMs, and a product configurator for products with parameters. Enterprise adds backward scheduling, a master production schedule and sales forecasting. Workers report progress through a kiosk-style interface, and MRPeasy has mobile apps.
Zoho ERP plans production through manufacturing orders linked to a BOM. Each order releases job cards that compare planned and actual time for every operation, and the shopfloor view tracks several work centers with a live clock. Zoho ERP’s reports include a component requirements summary and delayed job cards. Its pricing page lists manufacturing orders under the Premium plan’s transaction allowance but does not show plan by plan which manufacturing features are included, so ask Zoho to confirm the plan before you buy.
If you need a master production schedule or forecast-driven planning today, MRPeasy’s Enterprise plan lists both by name. Ask Zoho to demonstrate the equivalent with your own items before assuming it is there.
Subcontracting and job work
Sending work out is routine for small manufacturers, and the two products handle it in recognisable ways.
MRPeasy documents two methods. In the first, you buy a finished product from a contract manufacturer and free-issue materials from your own stock: the purchase order carries a section for the materials, a stock worker sees the shipment as a picking list, and the product’s cost includes both the purchase order and the materials consumed. In the second, one operation in your routing, such as painting, is assigned to a subcontractor’s workstation group; a purchase order created from the manufacturing order drives the operation’s status as it is shipped and received.
Zoho ERP’s help has a subcontract manufacturing section with a subcontract BOM, a subcontract manufacturing order, and purchase orders with material transfers. For an Indian manufacturer, the follow-up question is GST: material sent to a job worker has to be tracked and reported on Form ITC-04. Neither vendor’s pages mention ITC-04 by name, and MRPeasy says country-specific reporting to authorities is outside its accounting module. Run your own job work scenario in both demos, as we suggest in our TranZact vs Zoho ERP comparison.
Accounting, tax and where the books live
MRPeasy’s standard accounting posts entries automatically as production, stock, purchasing, sales and subcontracting happen, and its invoices handle sales tax. MRPeasy is clear about the boundary: country-specific tasks such as comprehensive reporting to authorities, local payroll and bank communications are not included and typically need local software. It lists native integrations with QuickBooks Online and Xero.
That boundary is the deciding point in India. GST returns, e-invoices and e-way bills would sit in a second system beside MRPeasy. Zoho ERP keeps them in the same system as production, which is why it is usually the first Zoho option an Indian manufacturer should look at. Outside India, the natural pairing is MRPeasy with QuickBooks Online or Xero; our Zoho Books vs QuickBooks Online comparison covers the accounts side.
Running MRPeasy beside Zoho CRM or Zoho Books
Many manufacturers already sell through Zoho CRM. MRPeasy has its own CRM, but you do not have to move sales out of Zoho to use it.
MRPeasy’s Zapier app offers a trigger when a customer order’s status changes and actions to create, search and update customer orders, and Zapier lists templates that create MRPeasy orders from Zoho CRM. That handles the handover from sales to production. It does not sync invoices, bills or stock values into Zoho Books, so if your accounts are on Zoho Books, plan a custom integration against MRPeasy’s API, which its pricing page lists on the Unlimited plan. Our comparison of Zoho Flow, Deluge and custom middleware explains which tool suits that kind of link.
Which one fits
| Your situation | Usually the better fit |
|---|---|
| Indian manufacturer, wants production and GST in one system | Zoho ERP |
| Outside India, needs MRP now, accounts in QuickBooks Online or Xero | MRPeasy |
| Needs a master production schedule and forecasting out of the box | MRPeasy Enterprise |
| Assembles kits or simple products, already on Zoho | Zoho Inventory composite items |
| Unusual process, such as made-to-measure or multi-stage approvals | A Zoho Creator app |
| Sales in Zoho CRM, production elsewhere | MRPeasy, linked to Zoho CRM for orders |

Questions to settle in a demo
- Run one real product with a multi-level BOM from order to dispatch in both trials.
- Send material to a subcontractor, receive part of it back, and check the stock still lying with them and the cost of the finished item.
- Ask which plan includes each feature you need; on MRPeasy, subcontracting starts at Professional and barcodes at Enterprise.
- In India, ask where your GST returns, e-invoices and e-way bills will be produced, and where the ITC-04 data comes from.
- Decide where the accounts live, and test that link before go-live.

Frequently asked questions
In India, Zoho ERP has bills of materials, manufacturing orders, job cards, a shopfloor view, quality inspections and subcontract manufacturing. Outside India, Zoho does not currently publish a manufacturing module: Zoho Inventory offers composite items for simple assemblies, and Zoho Creator can be used to build a production app.
Not natively. MRPeasy has a Zapier app that can create, search and update customer orders, and Zapier lists templates that create MRPeasy orders from Zoho CRM. MRPeasy's native accounting integrations are QuickBooks Online and Xero, so linking it to Zoho Books needs a custom integration through its API.
Zoho publishes Zoho ERP on its Indian site with rupee pricing and Indian tax features such as GST filing and e-way bills. Its website does not list another country edition at the time of writing, so check zoho.com for your country.
No free plan is listed. MRPeasy offers a free trial of 15 + 15 days without a credit card, and four paid plans: Starter, Professional, Enterprise and Unlimited, each priced per user per month.
MRPeasy lists subcontracting, quality control and serial numbers from the Professional plan. Barcodes, a master production schedule, multiple production sites and maintenance management start at Enterprise, and API access and webhooks are listed on Unlimited.
MRPeasy's standard accounting records sales and purchase taxes and has tax reports, but it says country-specific tasks such as reporting to tax authorities are not included and typically need local software. An Indian manufacturer would usually file GST from a separate accounting system.
